Hi Julie
Can you tell me when MTC first launched. I know I emailed myself when I first purchased. But I don't remember what year that was. I know I purchased it at the very beginning.
Thanks

Just a note to let you know that if you own Make The Cut and have your registration key, you can access at least 7,500 of the user-contributed files in the MTC Gallery. Unfortunately, the files posted

If you have the Cricut Explore, you can only cut to it via Cricut Design Space. However you can use 3rd party software to create cutting files, and export to SVG. Then you can import the SVG files

Re: Files for this group
SCAL5 plus the free libcutter software allows users to cut directly to the original Cricut Expression machine. This is not commonly known, but it does work.
You can get this software here:

Re: Files for this group
I have a very old Crichton Explorer. It appears SCAL will not work with that.
Where can I find your wonderful machine comparisons?
Thanks.

Re: Files for this group
If you cannot recover your MTC registration number, you do not necessarily need a new machine. You can use different software to use your years of saved files. MTC files now import into Sure Cuts A

It seems that since I can't recover my MTC registration number I will need to buy a new machine to use my years of saved files. How do I find Julie's reviews of cutting machines and other files on

Re: can't import at non-integer DPI... workaround?
I am going to assume you are using a very early version of MTC that supported Cricut cutters AND gave the user the ability to change File => import DPI values of a graphic (changing the DPI

Re: can't import at non-integer DPI... workaround?
I found an easier way to use this trick: I tell MTC that I'm importing at 254DPI, then I move the decimal point to multiply the sizes by 10. Much easier than remembering the ratio between 25 and 25.4
