Two Shapes to make a Frame

Julie Flanagan

If one of the shapes is inside of the other shape, then you will select all (ctrl+A), then use the Boolean Join tool on the Shape Magic toolbar. When you click on that icon, a window will open with a preview of your image. If the image does not look the way you want it, arrow down to select the B-A option. If the image now looks correct, then click on the screen and you are done.

I did cover this in last night's Webinar, so be sure to watch the recording when it is posted.

Re: webinar Question

There are many versions of Robomaster. The version that I was using for the Webinar is Silhouette Robomaster v. 5.10 There is a more recent version of the Silhouette Robomaster software, version 5.3. You can download version 5.3 from here:
http://silhouettemachine.com/software.aspx
This site has instructions for downloading posted.
This version of the Robomaster software has 96 images posted under My Library, which has an icon on the left side of the screen.

Any version of Robomaster will work for file conversions. But only the Silhouette versions include the My Library feature. It seems like the Wishblade software also had a Templates button that included a number of designs built in to the software.

I also totally enjoyed the Webnair...and a huge thank you for showing me some of the things I've been trying to do, but wasn't having any luck...I was doing a weld instead of bolean...so I'm off and running...Also, did I hear that MTC can now open SCUT files? How? I tried after class and couldn't or is that going to be the new version coming out?
Thanks so much for showing us how to use the software.
Diane

Hello, my name is Polly, my user name scrapinmolly. I live in TX, am a SAHM and am a consultant for a scrapbooking co. Bought a Cricut Personal last summer. A friend told me about SCAL and the site I went to to check it out also sold MTC. I went to MTC loved the look of it nd never looked back. I am so anxious to learn all I can. I do classes for scrapbooking and cardmaking and these programs will save me so much time! Time I can then spend playing!!

I agree it went very smoothly. The thing I really love is that while showing the "big" titles that she wanted to cover you got so many great "little" tips along the way. It really helps open up the possibilities of this software for me. Really looking forward to viewing it again.
