Hi, I am Jeane and I am a newbie also. I am married with a 21 year old daughter. I currently work in an art gallery and have plenty of time to work on my crafts and jewerly.
Any and all help will be appreciated, I am still learning the ropes and sometimes my head(Brain) spins from it. LOL

How do you import SVG (SCAL) files to MTC files??
Thanks for all your help.

I got into die cutting when my grandkids got to old for printshop last year. Now I do it for both of us. This is one fascinating hobby and you don't have to be an athlete to participate in it. Even better, it seems like there is no competition, just a willingness to help.
I'm 64 and working fulltime for the TN Emergency Management Agency. As a matter of fact I'm out at the old prison in Nashville now where the Green Mile had some scenes shot, wireless cards are a great thing.
Lunch is over, can't wait to get home and reading more.
Looking forward to learning from the group.

I have had up to 4 cutters going at the same time when working on a huge project. They kept me on my feet, but the project did get done!

You are fine to use it on both computers, one at a time, of course.

My craft computer crashed, so while I"m waiting on the new one to be
delivered, I was wondering...... Can I install the MTC on Vista? I won't be
using both computers at the same time, but want to make sure I can install
it on a different computer and then again on the new computer when it comes
in.

I'm hoping to salvage the hard drive from the old computer and make it a
slave on the 'new' one, but have to wait and see on that. In the meantime,
I am itching to cut again and need the MTC!!!

Thanks!

I played with backing up my cartridges last night.  I did not have a CDS Backup Library folder so I made it.  I was only able to backup Plantin Schoolbook & Accent Essentials since I only have the trial version now.

I saved each effect separately so I could find what I needed later on much easier, I renamed the backup too.  Then I made a folder for each cartridge.  I am now in the process of bidding on the full version of CDS so I can back up the rest of them.  I think it will be much easier, and quicker, to do it this way that to convert each JPEG into SVG.

Thanks so much for the helpful tutorial!

Diane,

I purchased my DS from Amazon last week for $41. I just had cataract surgery yesterday, so haven't tried it yet.

Re: resizing with numerous layers

Julie Flanagan

Sorry for the typo. "Later" should read "Layers". You can resize a selection by dragging or by entering specific measurements in the Selection Properties H or W boxes, with the Lock closed. This keeps all resizing proportional.

Re: Cartridge Backups

Kimberly Onnen <kimberlyinmn@...>

When/if you win the auction, you should see if the seller would just email
you the serial number for the software. That way you won't have to pay any
shipping. The version that is on the CD is the old version, so you wouldn't
even need that. :)
