Silhouette Cameo 3
judestrmn
Hi everyone. I am new to this group. I just started using my Cameo 3 cutting machine this Christmas. I thought it might be a good idea to get another cutting knife but am having a difficult time finding anything locally. I live in the midwest, USA. The Silhouette store is out of them. Can anyone help?
I am very glad I found you all. Judy

I cut a few today. I made the heart tree at 7" high, the Bee at 6" and an ornament at 5". All cut very well. I cut them using 65# cardstock on my Pazzles Vue, pressure at 26, blade extended to 3, and speed at 2. Even the ornament that was labeled as a laser cut, cut fine.
I had fun playing with these, adding layers in my software. These will look great in shadow boxes or as toppers on cards, or decorations in scrapbooks.

Re: Papercut Bundle

I wouldn't make them any smaller than card size, as they are very intricate. If you have a laser cutting machine, you could cut any of the designs in any size you like.
Since I don't have a laser cutter, I will test cut the designs that I like with very slow speed, moderately sticky mat, and the least blade extension necessary to cut through the media I am using. Test cuts will be essential to get the best pressure, blade depth and media for the project.

These are so beautiful. Thanks Julie for keeping us updated.

These are so intricate could most of them be cut card size or do you think they are meant to be cut larger?

It is a bit pricey, I think I would only purchase individually ones that I REALLY loved, LOL!! Thanks, Julie! On 12/29/2020 11:34 AM, Julie Flanagan

I found enough of the individual designs that I want to purchase because I love them, to make getting the entire bundle well worth it. I hope you had a great Christmas, and that your new year will be much better than 2020 has been. Let's make the most of it! I think In need to ignore the daily news, and craft a lot more in 2021. How about you? Julie

The weekly MTC/PCS Q&A webinars did last about 2 hours each. You can access the links for all of these webinars between 2010 and 2016 here:
https://forum.make-the-cut.com/discussion/17938/webinar-recordings-on-vimeo-updated-2016-04-27 The Webinar Indexes are also available in that post.
You had to download the earlier ones to view them. They switched to Vimeo in 2011. You don't have to download those, and many of them have topical time stamps in the comments under More, under the videos. These are very helpful when you are looking for specific help.

Ok, so when I go into MTC gallery and download a design from there, it goes straight to MTC screen. I cannot export it anywhere other than that. I am including attachments of pictures of what I am doing and what I get.

Alert: High Traffic Group
Julie Flanagan
Sometimes we have lots of conversations in this group, since we answer group member questions. If you do not like receiving lots of emails from this group, you can make necessary changes in your subscription. To do that, go to the group online at mtc-tuts.groups.io . On the home page click on Subscription on the upper left side of the screen. The default option when you joined this group was Individual emails. You can change your subscription any time. The Digest options save the group messages, and send a group of 12 in one email. Another option is to receive just a single email a day as a Daily summary.
If you don't care to read all of the group messages, but you would like to receive special announcements that I send out, select the Special Notices option. I might send out one special message in a week or two. This can keep you up to date on what is happening in our cutter community, without having to wade through a lot of email. Another option is to select No Email. You will no longer receive group email with this option, but you can still sign in to the group online to access files, tutorials, messages, etc. You will never receive special announcements or any other group messages via email with this option. If you don't need anything from this group, you can unsubscribe. To do this, find an email message from this group in your email In box, scroll to the bottom of the message, and click on the Unsubscribe link. Allow a few days for the change in your subscription. This will remove you from the group. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! Julie

I would not export to the Gallery, it has been unstable and things have been lost to it. It is a cloud resource, so it does not exist on your computer and you have no control over it, so save in your own computer in folders you organize yourself. Liz On 12/21/2020 7:13 PM, Pamela Rezach
