Subject: [Special] [MTC-Tuts] Cricut Foil Transfer
Kit I don't remember who asked if this kit will
work on machines other than the Cricut Explore and Maker. I received my kit, and
tried it out a bit today. Yes, I got it to work with my Pazzles Vue, and my Cricut Expression with a special hack. The tool is too small, so I slit a rubber pencil grip lengthwise, and cut off about 1/2 inch of the length. I slid this piece of rubber around the tool. I placed this in the blade holder cradle using the Pazzles pen tool spacer to get the height just right. Pressing down hard on the tool against the spacer, I tightened the belt around the tool as tight as it would go. On the Cricut Expression, I set it to maximum pressure, minimum speed, with multi-cut on. This worked perfectly with the two tips that I tried. (the third tip took a leap out of the package when I opened it, and it is nowhere to be found.) On the Pazzles Vue, I used the same rubber
pencil grip, sliced down the long way, and trimmed 1/2" off the end. It loaded
the same way as in the Cricut Expression. I used a pressure of 35, and set the
tool to engrave. Speed 2 worked well. I have not tried it on my Maker or Explore
yet, but I assume it will work with the recommended Cricut Settings. I haven't tried it on my other cutters, but am sure that it will work well with the BossKut Gazelle and the KNK Zing, since their clamps hold any size tools. If you have tried it with other machines, please share your results with us. You can check out this new tool here: Cricut Foil Transfer Kit Thanks, Julie

Hi Sue, I think that the machine will run with MTC, correct me if I'm wrong. That is the only cutting software I use, and I love it! What is the machine size, please. I am prepared to pay the shipping to get it here and yes, I'm sure it will be very expensive. I hope that it will work out. Thank you so much for your response, Hugs, Kathy

I would love to adopt your machine! Do you have an idea what the shipping cost would be to Washington State, USA? Kathy P.S. I have the original Zing and no other machine.

A little late... but just the same :o)
Hi all… I’m a little behind and my note is probably no longer useful L… But please remember to send your Paypal donation to Julie as a “friend” so she doesn’t have to pay a fee when your donation is received. The option is available after entering the amount you’d like to send (after you’ve entered her email address). If your payment option is “paying for an item or service” you can click the Change link and will be given a new option of “sending to a friend.” Thanks Julie! Sharon in Iowa

Thanks so much for those of you who have been able to contribute towards the MTC_Tuts Archives. Just a reminder to put the link I sent you in a special place so that in the event of a computer crash or new computer, etc, you can go back to my drop box and get the archives again. I just added some more surprise content, so if you downloaded the archived files in the past few days, be sure to go back again to get one more zipped file. Instructions for using it are included in the collection. If you have not made a contribution, you may still do so. Some have asked about the Popup Card Studio Tutorials archive. There are many zipped popup card designs that include SVG files available here: https://groups.io/g/PCS-Tuts/files/Shared%20Popup%20Files These are free downloads. Last year 24 people contributed towards transferring the Shared Files from the PCS_Tuts Yahoo group to groups.io I was able to archive all of the tutorials, photos, files, and shared files from that group and post the archive in my Drop Box. If you would like to download that PCS_Tuts Archive, you can send a contribution of any amount to me via paypal: julieflanagan @ juno . com (leave out the spaces), and I will send you the link for it. I have been sending links to the email addresses provided by PayPal. If you need your archive sent to a different email address, please be sure to include that in a note when you make your contribution. Also let me know which archive you need: MTC_Tuts, MTC_Tuts Old, or PCS_Tuts. The MTC_Tuts_Old archive includes tutorials created for versions of MTC prior to version 4.1.0. Let me know if you have further questions about these archives. Thanks again for your support! Julie

Re: MTC_Tuts Archives

I have never had an issue exporting my MTC files to SVG. There are many files shared by Dave in the MTC Gallery that had all of the images locked to keep all the pieces in place. These were mostly free coloring book pages that he filled in with colored pieces. There is a Gold Lock icon in the lower right corner of the MTC screen. Click on that and select Unlock All. Then you will be able to select all (Ctrl+A), and Export as SVG (Ctrl+Shift+S).
If there are pictures included in the file, some programs will not import those SVG files due to the picture.I love that Pazzles InVue software will import the SVG files that include pictures. But Cricut Design Space, Scan N Cut, and SCAL may not import them. In that case, I export the pictures separately, delete the pictures, then select the remainder of the design to export as SVG.

Julie, Thank you for all you do! I don't do much crafting, I never really took advantage of all that MTC can do. I'm just mainly do simple cuts. I would like to still donate again, but I can't remember how? I was wondering if you could explain why some of my MTC files will not let me change them to svgs? I was able to do some, but not others. Thank you again for all you do and have done. Dee

These are 3rd party mats. I have used the other 3rd party mats on my list, and they work fine for me. I have not tried the ones you mentioned. But I think the price has come down. I ordered some to try. I go through lots of mats. It is always good to have extras around.

Are the files for the pop-up cards in SVG format? That is the only format I can use because I have a Cricut Maker.
Thank you for making these files available.
