Yes Ann, You can download the new update 4.04 and it is really nice. I love the new tools that they have made like the eraser, node editing, bezier tool, a pencil, dashed lines etc.
Enjoy

2.32 and earlier versions work with the Cricut...if you have had 2.32 on your computer you can do all updates...otherwise you have to be satisfied with the earlier versions...what some people have done is use their earlier versions to cut with, but they download the new version in a separate folder and then when they want to create using some of the new features, they export the designs/files in the new version as svg files...or if a file was made in the mtc current version, you are able to open it and convert the file to svg, by selecting the pieces and choosing export. Does this make sense?

You might be able to make it work...when did you get it? It depends on what version it is. It would need to be 3.2.1 and then it will work with the Cricut.

Make the Cut is a software, you used to be able to purchase it to cut with your Cricut and not have to use cartridges, but Provo Craft sued them and Surecutsalot so they no longer can make the software available for Cricut users... I do not have a photo of my lantern, but if you go to the letteringdelights link below my signature and once there you type in lanterns, you can see the ones that I have made are like those.

Snowflake Napkin Rings (finally - pics) (ATTN: Joy).

Now that I am on school break until Monday, I did a quick cut on the snowflake file I posted on the other
day on Makethecut yahoo group.

Well, I posted pics and semi-tutorial on my blog: http://whisperscreativity.blogspot.com/

I had to get the SVG files from the other computer and so I put the files on the USB, took it out of the computer
and it now has disappeared among the house, I couldn't even retrace my steps. Mind must be in shock it
isn't focused in a textbook (smile).

Anyway, take a peak at the blog and e-mail me if you want the file (in case you forget to go back to get it from
the blog - after I find the USB).

Hope you like it.

Anything that you can cut with the expression can be cut with the cake. You will have to change out the mat because the cake mat is not sticky.

Google search returned this website. The bloggers say they were testing for ProvoCraft... Interesting...

http://www.cuttingedgecakeart.com/blog.php

It compares the Expression to the Cake for food purposes, but it also talks about using the Cake for paper cutting. The cakes are beautiful and inspiring. Even so, I'm not sure I'll ever use mine for that either...

Yep, got it and I quickly got my mat and blade out of my old expression, opened up mtc and cut my file without a problem. I just ordered another one yesterday for my daughter. The only thing to be careful of as a few have already mentioned is to make sure that cricut craft room is not open if your cutting something from mtc. You will get an error message and won't be able to cut until you close out ccr.
