Re: software and pazzles #file-notice

I do not believe the Silhouette Software will cut to the Pazzles cutter, it only supports its own brand. And if you do not have the Business Edition or higher, you wouldn't be able to export SVG files to use in another program.

MTC - Make The Cut! is defunct now. You can no longer purchase it NOR register it to work, so if you do not have it, that is out at this point.

I would recommend that you look at Sure Cuts A Lot - SCAL. It supports the Vue cutter so you can design AND cut directly to your cutter with one program.

You cannot cut to the Pazzles Vue directly from Silhouette Studio or from MTC. You can, however, export SVG files from either and import into InVue software to cut directly to the Vue. Another option is to import SVG files into Sure Cuts A Lot, and you can cut directly to the Vue from SCAL.

I have been considering making another Interactive Flip Fold Album similar to one I made in 2017. So I took a look at the video I made back then to get some more ideas. I thought you might like to see that video showing you what an Interactive Flip Fold Album can look like.

I gave up on the bluetooth.  The Make the Cut never recognized the cutter, but SCAL5 ( after Liz showed me where to look and what to do )  was able to use the cutter and I will jump into learning the software.
Thank you thank you thank you.  SO MUCH!!!!!!

OK I see that 1234 is what the manual has. I know that at times my Maxx Air would disconnect itself from BT and it didn't always want to work the first time around. I had to do the setup sometimes 2-3 times, but none of those other numbers are going to work.

Also I would try starting with the computer and getting it to find new BT devices. The cutter would show up as CUTTER.

OK in MTC, it is here:

In SCAL it will be here:

Then to find those port allocations, go to https://macosx-faq.com/find-usb-connected-devices/ to find out how to find those ports. On a PC it will tell me roughly what is attached to a port.

I don't know where to find the port list on a Mac.

What do you see in the Port list, you want one that has the USB Serial in the name.

I found the Zing plugin on the I love KNK website, but my unarchiver cannot open it.  Is there another way to get this plug in?

I am using the Make the Cut running on Wine.  It has worked for seven years or more.
I have purchased the SCAL, but would prefer to work with MTC.

Hi Liz,

Yes I am using the same Mac I used with the other Zing. It runs on wine.  It is the same Make the Cut program.  I was just reviewing the KNK Zing Make the Cut users manual.  It suggested reinstalling the Zing drivers.  Sadly I don't know where to find them.  Do you have a source?

Hi Tamara I see you've posted this on the FB group as well.

I had asked if you are still using the same Mac as you did with the older Zing, and you have not upgraded the Mac on that group.

Make The Cut does not work on a MAC. You needs windows. However, SCAL does work with MAC, so you might try that. You can get the trial version for 14 days to see if it connects then.

Hi there,

My old Zing Air died and I have just purchased another Zing Air on ebay.  The machine was well packaged in original box, turns on, but will not connect to my Make the Cut software on my Macbook Pro.I am using a usb printer cable to connect the two.  I have tried turning the cutter off and on, the software off and on to no avail.
I was unable to connect my original Zing Air via wifi or bluetooth or whatever. And I don't recall how to attempt it on this machine.

Any suggestions?

You may be able to type it into notepad and copy from there to paste in.
